Goblets & Goblins – October 29, 7-9pm

Some details on the final Wine Evening of our 2010 season… the much-anticipated Goblets & Goblins on Friday October 29, 7-9pm! We have a group of eager volunteers who have been working very hard to create a “Bewitching Evening of Wine & Merriment in the Historic Gardens“!

What is “Goblets & Goblins” all about? We don’t want to give away too much, but imagine yourself wandering down a Garden path on a dark October evening, lanterns lighting the way, to a secret location where you can enjoy some wickedly good treats, local award-winning wines, and the odd ghost story, all in a toasty warm location! Visualize yourself setting out again, down another path, to another location where you can warm your hands by the fire and tempt your tastebuds with some devilish delectable delights!

A Wine Evening with a seasonal twist or two awaits you at the Historic Gardens on Friday October 29. The event is “indoors & out” at the Gardens, rain or shine. So dress warmly. Dress is casual “come as you are”… but if you have a halloween costume in your closet that you are just dying for an excuse to wear, you are welcome to do so.

Goblets & Goblins tickets are $20 per person (price includes wine, food and fun). A special advance ticket price of $15 is available to 2010 Season Passholders if purchased by Wednesday, October 27.

For further information, or to order tickets, call 532-7018 or drop by the Gardens.

Or you can purchase tickets through our Online Store.

AND… why not treat yourself to a night in Annapolis Royal at one of our terrific accommodations, some of whom are offering special promotions for Goblets & Goblins. Check it out!

A don’t-miss event compliments of  the Annapolis Heritage Society… the Sinclair Inn Museum Haunted House!

Come to the Sinclair Inn and learn about the ghosts, ghouls and goblins that have inhabited Annapolis Royal and the Granville Ferry area! An interesting combination of local folklore and entertainment, this family event is great for kids and adults.

The Sinclair Inn Museum is closed for the season now but skulls, tombstones, spiders, rats and the odd dismembered limb make a fine background for the one-armed soldier, the lady in the rocking chair, the Gray Lady of Granville and the ghost pirate guarding his treasure!

I got a sneak preview of the offerings, and it is shaping up to be a very cool experience… read more about it on the Annapolis Heritage Society website. The Haunted House is open Friday and Saturday evenings Oct 22/23 and Oct 29/30 — from 6:30 pm to 9 pm. Admission fee is a modest $3 per person. Don’t miss it!!!!
