Day 64 – 05Mar2011 – Tree Trunk Art

Project 365 HG – Tree Trunk Art.

Day 64 found me at a curling bonspiel in nearby Digby.

This photo is not FROM the Historic Gardens, but is related by virtue of being a sculpture carved from a tree trunk. The artist’s name is carved on the side as P. Janson.

The scallop shell design is Digby’s iconic symbol, as this area is home to a large scallop fleet pulling in arguably the world’s best scallops. If you haven’t tried “Digby Scallops” in your travels, you are missing out on something special!
