The Winter version of the Annapolis Royal Farmer’s Market is well underway in its home at the Historic Gardens in Annapolis Royal, every Saturday morning 9-12. The “winter” season launched in mid-October after the season finale of the downtown Farmer’s Market, a community highlight for 30 years!
The Winter Market is not quite as grand in scale as the summer market, but has almost everything a “locavore” can hope for: fish, meat, eggs, veggies, baked goods, locally roasted coffee, hot cider, sausages, sweets, as well as some artwork, books, handcrafts and “this & that”. Fun to visit, buy local food, have a coffee and cinnamon bun with friends, and even to wander the Historic Gardens on a nice day.
On November 13, the Winter Market moved from the Gardens sheltered entry area (outdoors) into its new indoor digs, in the building that serves as the Gardens Gift Shop in the summer months. A bright and airy space with a wonderful view of the Gardens Courtyard, there couldn’t be a more beautiful setting for a Farmer’s Market, could there?
Come out and experience the Annapolis Royal Winter Market, and the Historic Gardens, every Saturday morning 9am-12noon!
